Wanting to start my own alternative rock band

Anyone have any good suggestions on how i should go about starting my own band...I'd be the singer!!

I would put an ad in Craigslist advertising that you are starting a new band and do auditions and see what you come up with

My buddy started a band all from Craigslist and he has opened up for cheap trick a few times

What part of LA are you in? Will you be willing to pay a good band member some money if you made some money with the band?

just depends on how much the gig pays...I'm from the OC...home of the alternative rock nation man...i'm all about rockin out with my sock out!

He just ran an ad and people called up showing interest he interviewed them and picked the best ones and they practiced every night and got some gigs at some cheap bars got paid part of the bar revenue for payment then grew from there

He has made as much as $500 a night and thats just his part but he owns all the equipment so he gets more then the others, but its a blast for him, I helped him set up one night even
