Subject: UCSB ordered to cut fall enrollment
Sun Jan 18, 2009 4:37 am
Due to the State’s budget crisis, UC Santa Barbara will cut freshmen enrollment and freeze top administrators’ salaries.
The Pacific Coast Business Times
is reporting that the freeze will mean
275 fewer freshman
this fall and that savings will come from the reduction in classes and
faculty. According to the report, UC officials will also freeze the
salaries of nearly 300 top administrators and will reportedly implement
“significant restrictions to compensation”.
